Research and development are fundamental to the UAE’s knowledge-based economy and its ambitions for the generations ahead. By advancing science, technology and innovation, we can reinforce our strategic sectors, enhance national resilience and open new pathways for economic growth.
The Emirates Research and Development Council serves as the nation’s highest authority for research and development, bringing government, the private sector and academia together around shared priorities. Our role is to provide the direction and coordination needed to take ideas from fundamental research through to development and commercialization.
Our measure of success is what this collective effort enables: discoveries translated into practical solutions, intellectual capital developed within the country, and research that creates tangible value for our economy and society.
Looking outward, the UAE must be an active contributor to the global science and technology landscape.
